North Canterbury-based Wayne Youle is a lover of text, typography and words - and of telling stories with them.
The words he showcases in the exhibition are very visual, and definitely tell their own individual stories - movie is written as if up in Hollywood lights, belly has its own curves, and widow - all in black - is written in a font reminiscent of an old Western movie.
This is a one-off exhibition of work designed specifically for the Tauranga Art Gallery Atrium.
The work took a team of three a full week to complete, and will be painted over at the conclusion of the exhibition.
