Raye Catran: The State of the House

 

An exhibition of new work by Tauranga artist Raye Catran, inspired by a lifelong interest in houses and curiosity about the people who live in them.

Raye Catran won the Ethel McMillan Award in the Miles Art Awards last year for her work, The Stop Sign.

A number of her works are of distinctively New Zealand-looking state houses and urban landscapes.

 

 

 

Raye Catran works from her Tauriko home, attended art school in Auckland, and was a teacher for many years.
