People's Choice Winner Miles Art Awards

The winner of the UNO. Magazine People's Choice Award of the 2016 Miles Art Awards exhibition is Rex Homan for this stunning sculpture named The Silent One.

Of Maori descent  (Te Rarawa, Ngati Paoa, Te Atiawa), Homan describes his style as contemporary Polynesian, drawing heavily on nature and mythology.

Now an international artist he has been represented in North America since 2005 by Spirit Wrestler Gallery in Vancouver where his flowing, stylised forms, especially birds, are eagerly sought after by collectors.

A senior artist, Rex’s passion for his art continues and with his popularity and commissions, retirement seems a long way off.

Rex and his work will be featured in the next issue of UNO. Magazine.
