John Bellany (1942 - 2013) was a major Scottish artist. He married fellow artist Juliet Gray in 1979. They met at Goldsmiths’ College of Art, London.

Juliet’s sister and brother-in-law, long time residents of Tauranga, gifted the works exhibited here to the Gallery in 2013.
