ACORN FOUNDATION JUNIOR ART AWARDS

Tauranga Art Gallery is proud to present our inaugural Acorn Foundation Junior Art Awards, 3 April - 2 May 2021. 

The exhibition showcases a diverse range of exceptional talent from our youth. Open to children between 4 – 14 years of age who live in the Bay of Plenty region, this year's awards attracted entries from throughout the region, including Rotorua Ōhope, Whakatāne, Waihi, and the Western Bay of Plenty.

Our theme Te Taiao | Nature, was open to interpretation. The creative responses from children provide a snapshot of the playful, whimsical, and honest ways that they view the world. The works also provide a window into our next generations' concerns for retaining the beauty of our natural environment.
