Dr Ryan Reynolds
Dr Ryan Reynolds is a founding member and co-director of the Gap Filler Trust, working on Gap Filler’s local projects whilst doing worldwide work to help governments, not-for-profits and the private sector establish frameworks for creative projects with positive social outcomes.
He is also the founder of Life in Vacant Spaces Charitable Trust and a board member of Ohu Foundation (Office for Holistic Urbanism), a new entity in Christchurch exploring community-minded property development. He holds a PhD from Canterbury University, and has had teaching and research roles at Canterbury University, Lincoln University, University of Technology Sydney and Copenhagen University in Theatre and Film Studies, Environmental Management, Design, and Landscape Architecture.
Gap Filler
Gap Filler is a creative social enterprise that designs and delivers public placemaking installations, and offers a range of services to help others achieve strong community outcomes in and alongside public and private developments – or while developments are still in their planning stages.
They pursue any means to foster developments, towns and cities where people feel empowered to take creative action, and to experiment with fun ways of contributing to the wellbeing of the place.
