THE CELLOPHONICS TO PLAY AT GALLERY - 3:00pm Sun 20 Jun 2010
The University of Waikato presents the return of the Cellophonics to the Tauranga Art Gallery, at 3pm on Sunday 20 June.
The highly acclaimed group, consisting of seven of the country's leading young cellists, along with their renowned cellist tutor James Tennant, presents an afternoon of sonority and rich delight. In addition, cello prodigy Santiago Canon Valencia, who first performed at the Gallery two years ago at the age of 12, will now perform as a member of the touring group.
A highly varied programme includes international flavours from Spain, Japan, Italy, Russia, New Zealand, France and more.
