Tauranga Art Gallery is host to the annual Arts On Tour NZ, a programme of outstanding New Zealand performers touring the smaller centres throughout the country.

With many top national and international performances bypassing the smaller centres, AOTNZ is a community focused trust which organises tours to the rural and more remote areas of New Zealand. Based at the historic Arts Centre of Christchurch, the trust receives funding from Creative New Zealand and liaises with local arts councils, repertory theatres and community groups to bring the best of musical and other talent to country districts.
