OF COURSE I MEANT IT WHEN I SAID I DIDN'T MEAN IT
OF COURSE I MEANT IT WHEN I SAID I DIDN'T MEAN IT - 1:00pm Sat 22 May 2010
Floortalk by Jill Sorensen
Entry by gold coin donation.
Sorensen uses her left hand to draw characters from her imagination without conscious thought, a form of automatic drawing. She then uses her right hand, or the thinking side of her brain, to adjust and reposition her characters.
Her animal-type figures imposed with human features explore the idea that things are not always what they seem.
Exhibition: OF COURSE I MEANT IT WHEN I SAID I DIDN'T MEAN IT Jill Sorensen
Drawing is central to Sorensen's work, it is a tool she uses to investigate two fundamental functions of the brain - thinking and MORE
