The Acorn Foundation
The Acorn Foundation is a Charitable Trust operating in Tauranga, New Zealand. It was established in 2003, to encourage people to consider leaving a gift in their will to benefit the western Bay of Plenty community forever. People can also make gifts during their lifetime to build up their fund and maximise the tax rebates now available.
The Acorn Foundation is based on a model established in New York in the 1920's. The Foundation manages funds on behalf of its donors. The investment income earned is distributed annually to charities chosen by our donors or donors may choose to leave the distributions to the Trustees discretion.

Supporting your Gallery into the future
Cultural institutions throughout the world rely on their communities making endowments towards their ongoing operations.
Your legacy made to The Acorn Founditon will be managed in perpetuity and the interest paid out to the local organisation you specify – for example the Tauranga Art Gallery.
