In September 2004, Jacqueline Bullmore, widow of the late Edward Bullmore, gifted approximately 300 works to the Tauranga Art Gallery Trust.

A major retrospective exhibition, EDWARD BULLMORE A Surrealist Odyssey,  was held at the Gallery in 2008, featuring some of these plus works from private family collections.
